Receiving fax without fax machine¶

Receiving fax without fax machine - is a popular VAS, which allows to receive fax, while not having physical fax machine available.
Advantages over regular fax:

• don't need special hardware
• don't need special software
• don't need dedicated phone line for fax
• in some scenarios don't need dedicated number to automatically accept fax
• don't need paper
• can accept several faxes simultaneously
• can receive fax, when out of office
• can receive fax using mobile phone

After fax has been got, file with fax contents is attached to CDR.
Later this file could be downloaded though Call detail report.
Also there exists popular VAS Sending fax to e-mail.

Possible scenarios of Virtual fax:

• Receiving fax during conversation
• Receiving fax through transfer to internal extension
• Receiving fax through voice menu
