Receiving fax during conversation¶

In this scenario peers negotiate during conversation that now fax should be transmitted.
Subscriber which accepts fax, presses special DTMF combination (by default it's *4), and system moves into fax accepting mode.
After fax been got system returns to voice mode and subscribers could continue conversation.

• enter Call detail report, find the call, enter Details -> Fax and download the .tiff file.
• in case if user which receives fax has e-mail configured (Users -> Information -> e-mail), then file with fax is sent as attachment to specified e-mail.

Advantages of this method:

• You can receive fax anywhere.
  For example, system has redirected a call to your mobile phone (VAS Call forwarding).
  You can receive a fax using mobile phone and thus pretend that you are at office.
• You don't need dedicated number for fax machine
• A caller doesn't travel through voice menu, which could be impossible in some cases.
  For example, if caller phone doesn't support tone dialing.
• You can continue conversation after fax has been received.
  For example, read received document and discuss it.
