General !routes.gif! *type* - outgoing peer type *name* - the name of the outgoing peer *technology* - which [[Signaling protocols|Technology]] to use to generate an outgoing call. +auto+ means that the system will independently select the best technology. The system will try to generate an outgoing call using the same technology as the incoming call to avoid transcoding the protocols.
