h1. HLR query while message routing

*HLR query* could be used when routing message (see [[Transformation of E.164 number to MCC-MNC code]]).

*Smartswitch* supports tight integration between [[HLR dipping]] and [[Messaging]] to support [[Number portability]] in routed wholesale and retail traffic.

*HLR query* is automatically used for routed messages, if peer - message-originator has [[HLR routing]] configured.
In case if you want to use *HLR query* only for certain countries, you should configure HLR routes only for these countries.
For all the rest countries a static [[Transformation of E.164 number to MCC-MNC code]] will be used.
