h1. Configure Call Handler with the Softswitch

Now we must configure the [[Call Handler]]. This is a set of instructions that tell the Core how to handle incoming call. In our case, we need only "Softswitch" handling, i.e. to route call to outbound destination.

Go to Home >> General >> Call Handlers. You'll see a list of configured [[Call Handler|Call Handlers]]. On a fresh system it might be empty (or contain some pre-configured [[Call Handler|Call Handlers]]). Press "Add" to add a new one. You'll see this:

Enter call handler's name. Let it be "softswitch". Press "Commit". You'll be taken back to the list of call handlers.

Now press "Edit" on our new call handler. You'll see the _Call Handler GUI_. You should leave something like this to configure _softswitch_ handling mode:

Assemble this flow from the available items and press "Commit".
